Today at 5:15p.m. on the CBBC Channel The Man Who Never Was will conclude and with the end of this story comes the end of The Sarah Jane Adventures. As we all know Elisabeth Sladen tragically died of cancer in April and The Man Who Never Was was the final story she filmed. So, prepare to say your final goodbyes to Luke, Rani, Clyde, Sky, Sarah Jane Smith and Bannerman Road.

In other news the cover has been revealed for Elisabeth Sladen's autobiography which is due for release on November 7th. The Cover can be seen below.

As most will know by now, The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 will be released on 31st October on DVD and for the first time Blu - ray. No official artwork has been released but it will be posted here as soon as it is. The boxset can be pre-ordered on Amazon for 12.99 on DVD and for 15.93 on Blu Ray.

As we all know Elisabeth Sladen sadly died earlier this year and Edward Russel has been raising money for the hospice that took care of Elisabeth during her final days. He has walked from Upper Boat Studios (where The Sarah Jane Adventures was filmed) to the BBC TV Centre and he has raised in the region of £15000! You can still donate to Edward's "Walk for Lis" here

We wish him all the best and would like to thank him for his efforts.

The Official Sarah Jane Adventures Site which can be seen by clicking here, has been updated with a brand new comic entitled "Defending Bannerman Road" featuring many past aliens from the series. It features a voice over from Anjli Mohindra who plays Rani Chandra.

In Sarah Jane's Attic the PC has received a complete revamp and the image section has been updated with pictures from last weeks episode: Lost In Time.

In other news, The Sarah Jane Adventures is up for a Children's BAFTA! If you are under 15 and if you live in the United Kingdom then I would ask you to please vote.

This is all we know about Death of The Doctor:

Death of the Doctor is Written by Russell T. Davies and will broadcast on the CBBC Channel on monday the 25th and Tuesday the 26th of October. It will then be repeated on BBC One on Wednesday and Thursdsay. The Synopsis for the Story is as follows:

When The Doctor is declared dead, old companions Sarah Jane and Jo Grant meet for the very first time and join forces to discover the truth. As an interstellar conspiracy gathers around Unit HQ, Clyde finds that he holds the fate of the Time Lord in his hand – quite literally!

Old friends fight together to make one last stand against the sinister Shansheeth. But with Clyde and Rani trapped and in terrible danger, Sarah Jane and Jo Grant realise their worst fears – their friendship with the Doctor might be the very thing that dooms them.

The Doctor is played by Matt Smith, Sarah Jane by Elisabeth Sladen, Jo Grant by Katy Manning, Clyde by Daniel Anthony, Rani by Anjli Mohindra and Colonel Karim by Laila Rouass.

Followed by Sarah Jane's Alien files, which is a new series that talks about the many aliens that appear in The Sarah Jane Adventures and which will be aired alongside series 4. The Nightmare Man will air at 5:15 p.m. on the CBBC Channel and Sarah Jane's Alien Files will air straight after.

Alexander Armstrong Known in the Doctor Who Universe for portraying the voice of Mr. Smith in The Sarah Jane Adventures for all series' of the show is to appear in an upcoming episode of the British T.V. Series Who Do you Think you Are? as part of the shows eighth series. Alexander

Armstrong is to reprise his role for the next confirmed two series of the sarah jane adventures.

It is Currently unknown on what date the episode will be broadcast.

Books, Books and More Books!!!

As previously reported Elisabeth Sladen is to release an Autobiography, originally planned for an October 2010 release. However, it would now seem that Lis' Autobiography has been pushed back all the way to April 2011! No doubt, in part, due to the level of SJA work she has had to do now that They are filming a series and a half this year.

Also There are to be two new The Sarah Jane Adventures Books! It is yet unknown if these books are original novels (I doubt it) or novelisations (I am guessing The Death of the Doctor and possibly The Nightmare Man) Little is currently known about the books other than they will be released on the 4th of November 2010 and they are published by Penguin who do not have a title up for them (although if they are novelisations I don't think it will be long before we find out which stories they are seeing as how we already know the Series 4 titles). The site merely lists them as Sarah Jane Adventures: Novel 1 and The Sarah Jane Adventures: Novel 2.

Any new info. on the books will be posted here as soon as it is available. The Cover for Elisabeth Sladen's Autobiography can be seen in my Merchandise Guide to the right.

Who Knows what this is...?

This Picture is at this address. If you look at this closely you can see K-9 on the screen. Now I am well aware that this may be fan made although it seems doubtful seeing as how it comes from what is supposed to be a fairly honest site. Unlewss I am Mistaken this as not been in the SJA. Also if you go to the bottom of the page you will see that it says something along the lines of : Mr. Smith having a new symbol for series 4 of the sarah jane adventures as seen in series 4 promo images.

Does anyone know what this is or where these so called series 4 promos are???? Or if there is something else strange that you can see in either the picture or indeed in the page linked above please tell me in the comments. And if it is fan made , well done to who ever made it because you certainly fooled me.

The title of the second Audiobook has now been released as: Deadly Download! Both Audiobooks are expected to be read by Elisabeth Sladen. There are, as of yet no Official synopses but they will be posted here as soon as they are available.

Play.com have two more audiobooks added to their Listings for The Sarah Jane Adventures. Apparently due for release on the Seventh of October 2010, the two Audiobooks have not currently got cover artwork and only one title has been revealed as: Wraith World. According to the summary which gives no indication of the plot the audiobooks are to feature Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde and Rani. These will be the seventh and eighth editions to the Sarah Jane Adventures audiobook collection. The other six can be seen in my Sarah Jane Adventures Merchandise Guide.

The Titles and release dates of these audiobooks are subject to change.

Lucie Jones to Appear in SJA

Digital Spy have today confirmed that Lucie Jones is to appear in a cameo appearance in The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4. When speaking about the cameo Lucie said that: "Its a tiny cameo but apparently it's quite funny!!! Also, it has recently been confirmed that Laila Rouass of Primeval fame is also set to appear in Series 4.

Baker and Sladen to Return to Doctor Who?

Various online sources are reporting that 4th doctor Tom Baker and his on screen companion Elisabeth Sladen may be making an appearance in Doctor Who series 6 alongside the 11th Doctor Matt Smith. This is currently only speculation and nothing has been confirmed, however Tom Baker has expressed an interest in recording Doctor Who Audiobooks and I'm sure miss Sladen wouldn't remind a return to new Who!

The Writers Tale: The Final Chapter

In a new book published by BBC Books entitled The Writers Tale The Final Chapter we learn an awful lot about Doctor Who but not only doctor who but Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures also! For Example SFX has published a list of things we never knew about Doctor Who! Two of these points are of great interest to any SJA Fan! For the other 18 please go to the SFX Website.

15. It was also hoped that Martha would team up with Sarah Jane in the climax of season two of The Sarah Jane Adventures. When Freema became unavailable, the Brigadier was used instead.

16. Russell was offered the option to turn The Sarah Jane Adventures into a show airing on Sundays at 5.30pm, which would have required reinventing the series. He decided against it.

He has previously written the SJA Stories Mark of the Berserker and The Mad Woman in the Attic, he also done a substantial amount of work for Torchwood, this includes two audiobooks, an original novel and a past episode. Further information regarding Lidsters story has not yet been revealed but they will be posted here as soon as available.

Also, today the 1st of January is The Sarah Jane Adventures 3rd Birthday! This day three years ago Invasion of the Bane first aired on BBC One!

SJA Series 4 Confirmed!

In a recent radio interview with outgoing Doctor Who show runner Russell t. Davies entitled Who on Who, russell revealed that The Sarah Jane Adventures would return for a brand new fourth series in Autumn 2010 and that filming for the series will start in the Spring!

A Very SJA Christmas

Its been quite a year for the sarah jane adventures. Its had an amazing third series with an appearance from a certain doctor! The Second series box set exploded onto DVD (Speaking of which Is anybody else hoping to see the box set under the tree at Christmas?), books were published and new series have been placed in Pre- Production. This Christmas will be a good time to reflect on a very busy year for the Sarah Jane Adventures and to hope for many years to come.

As we all know The Sarah Jane Adventures Series Three is to be released next year however some online retailers e.g. Amazon are setting the release date at october 2010 and Play and Wikipedia list it for release on 25th of January.

This Leads to questions about whether or not the series three box set will sever from tradition.

SJA Loses Out On BAFTA

Yes Unfortunately SJA Has lost out on a BAFTA for a second year. The show did not lose out to Dustbin Baby but to wil's Christmas List a Welsh Production. Maybe the shows third series will clinch a Bafta?
